On Monday night, I made these. Do you like them?

Yum.

OK. Technically, they are fetuses, but I just wanted to say “Makin’ babies” in the title of the post.

I made more fetus cookies than just these two guys. Even made conjoined twins! These things turned out pretty massive. Big fetuses. Big tasty fetuses. I’ve got a lot of ideas for decorations, but for this first, uh, litter I kept it simple.

Speaking of litters, I have exciting news!

Meet Tequila.

This little lady had a worm in her neck, so the folks at the shelter named her “Tequila.” The diluted tortie is now worm-free and living it up with Colonel Mustard, Mister and Missus. YAY!

The other week, I got to spend time at my friend Cindy’s house. A day of homemade pesto sauce, garden fresh tomatoes and silly board games.

And lots of visiting with her critters … Yay!

Hello!

Ainslie takes a photo.

Fantastic feet!

From fowl to felines …

Zuben the kitten is quite the gentleman. Shy and cute.

MUCH bigger kitties live at Cindy’s home, too. She and her husband have two bobcats, Audrey and Trifid, who are educational critters. (Boy Scouts visit them and learn about wildlife and such.)

Hello there, Trifid. I think my hair matches your fur quite nicely.

We got very close …

I wasn't expecting this.

She makes a comfy seat.

The rainy day ended with rainbow action.

Still cloudy, but there is a rainbow ...

The end!

Thanks for the day of fun, Cindy! 🙂

I’m in the process of updating my Etsy, and it’s going to carry on tomorrow because I’m off to a birthday movie! (Not my birthday. I’m not much on movies. However, I am quite happy with popcorn.)

Until then,

Girl Scout badge pins!

A cat in a cup! (Vintage)

Tree pins!

I have a boatload of buttons (pins) to still list. Tons more Girl Scout badge pins, which were super fun to make. Let me know what you think!

Also some punctuation items on the way as soon as I get good pics! Woo!

Look what friend was waiting on my porch when I got home from work recently:

And now, an excuse to post cat photos — er, I mean more crazy critters for your viewing pleasure:

Mister lips. Mister is thirsty and only tub water will do.

Last weekend, I went to an estate sale and picked up an old suitcase, something I’d been wanting. Wasn’t sure what to do with one — Should I look cute and vintagey and travel with it? (Vintagey? I made that word up.) I could display it all cute-like in my house. Or use it to store craft supplies … BUT Colonel Mustard has other plans:

Don't I look cute?

You will need:

*Tape
*Scissors
*Newspaper
*Cat (optional)

Step 1: Use your tape, scissors and newspaper to wrap the gift. Make sure to stop and take photos of the cat, who insists on stepping on everything in front of you.

Colonel Mustard nose

Step 2: It’s time to embellish! Cut out obscene/inappropriate/ridiculous/controversial photo(s). Tape to the present.

Perfect! You’re finished!

P.S. I will reveal what this gift is in a later post. Don’t want to spoil the surprise!

It’s a lovely day to watch muddy debris float in the river and culture giblets float in my kombucha, my new addiction.*

The river next to my house is going crazy — water in the yard and everything. The nor’easter’s made a mess of Jersey, so I’m going forget about the yucky weather and reminisce about a recent trip to The Market NYC

Purchase No. 1:

A and I each got a ring made by Tammy Gia of Gia Fragalli Creations. Hers is the one on top. Mine’s at the bottom (and I think I see cat hair there).

Tammy Gia was super nice and fun! We enjoyed talking to her, and I love the ring. Nice and modern. Not girly at all, which is just my style. I’ve worn it every day since I got it!

Purchases No. 2 and 3 from Umsteigen:

Monkey and bike hoodie (hoody? How is this word spelled? Urban dictionary is no help!)

These colors match so nicely with my Chock Full o' Nuts can on the floor.

Very comfortable. My coworkers are convinced the monkey is a cat. It’s a monkey, dammit! The tail is long!

It's a monkey.

Speaking of beasties:

Fly, Mustard! Fly!

Colonel Mustard is going to be 1 on Wednesday. From mini Mustard to man Mustard!
*I read you can make your own kombucha. Sounds like a must-add to my crafty list!

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. I found another one:

Assless Cat No. 2

Was wandering through an antiques store today and there it was — another cat planter with no butt. I’ve got to do some research and see when this was a trend. BEST TREND EVER!

Note: My new assless cat planter is not blue. He’s actually yellow. I was just playing around with the filter on my camera phone.

Strangely enough, this cat only set me back seven bucks, just like the first one. Hmmm…

One more assless cat planter and I’ve got a collection.

One more assless cat planter and my life is complete.

P.S. I got more stuff at the antiques shop that I’ll blog about in the near future.
